Certification Overview
Education Services and its Authorized Training Center Partners deliver technical training on the full range of Open Text's products. In certain sectors, it is desirable that individuals working with our products be capable of demonstrating their technical competence. To meet this need, Open Text has established levels of certification that you, as an individual can achieve following successful completion of specific items.
The certification standards may change from time to time. Existing certification will continue to apply for the life of the version of the product on which you achieved certification.
Examination Details
The price for our certification exams is $150US. Exams are two (2) hours long and you are permitted to refer to Open Text materials including workbooks, product manuals or other notes. A laptop with installed Open Text software is also permitted. The score required for successful completion is 80%.
Candidate Information
You will need to present a form of photo identification when you go to the write the exam, such as a passport or drivers license. The exam monitor will verify this information by completing a Candidate Information Sheet. It is important that this sheet be completed in full in order for the exam to be graded. If this form is incomplete, the exam will not be graded.
The exam monitor will collect the exam and send it to Open Text Education Services for grading.
Registration Process
You can register for any of the Certification Exams in one of two ways:
 Using the online form provided at the end of each exam description
Downloading the registration form , completing it and sending it via

Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received your request. Two weeks prior to the scheduled date you will receive further confirmation outlining the details regarding the exam location, time, etc.
When completing the registration form, it is not necessary to include your credit card number; you will be contacted by phone for this information.
Exam Grading and Communication
Education Services will grade all exams within one calendar week of receipt. Only those exams that have a fully completed Candidate Information Sheet will be graded. You will receive an email informing you of your exam results. If you have a passing grade, a certificate will be sent to you within ten business days of this notification. If you did not have a passing grade, you may register to re-take the exam.
